Named
after one of the best cricketers in the world today,
The Sanga is the flagship bat in the MG2 range of
handcrafted bats.It
is made from the very best of grade one English willow.
The
performance and pickup are but two of the factors
that set it apart from many of it's competitors on
the market today.
You, the owner of one of these pieces of craftsmanship
can dictate the weight, profile and style of cricket
bat you require to best suit your style of play.
Kumar Sangakkara was our first customer at MG2 Cricket
and we honour him in every Sanga bat we make, a truly
wonderful man and this is what I want you to own.............a
truly wonderful cricket bat.

For many years Marty has been playing about with different
dimensions on his cricket bats, both blade length and
handle lengths.
After much experimenting we have decided on a combination
that optimises these two areas, allowing far greater
bat speed thru the hitting zone.
Now every player can get their hands on one of these
hybrid bats and can for themselves make a call on the
virtues of the latest thing to rock the world of cricket.
An inch and a half shorter blade with a longer handle
has made even the most modest nurdler of the ball feel
like they can muscle the ball to all parts of the oval.
Bowlers be warned, the awesome power of the Rhino is
about to be unleashed. |

After
watching a local lad smash his way to a double test
century at Napier's McLean Park a couple of years back,
against a pretty descent Indian bowling attack. Marty
was asked to make him a couple of bats.
Now you can have the same profile so you can see if
you can emulate the local lad who came good that day.
Made from downgraded grade one English willow, this
"bat makers choice" of willow is chosen for
it's performance not always it's looks.
Go on, pick one up and see if you dare to dream??? |

Our
youth model cricket bats, made from grade two
English willow. Ideally shaped to emulate the
shape of it's bigger brother the "201".
Designed totally for the younger cricketer, with
care and attention taken to allow for the smaller
frames and the slighter builds of our up an coming
test players. |

You
can now have the same bat Tendulkar uses!!
The ST10 by MG2 Cricket : While in Napier
this year, Marty Graham made new bats for the Little Master,
Sachin Tendulkar. You can now have a copy of this marvellous
blade, huge profile, massive edges, just the lightest pickup and
the best willow. Short handle, 2lb 12oz.
Because of the lovely low shape, this has extended the
already massive sweet spot.
A must have for the cricketer who is serious about
getting the most from their bat!! |

Wow,
the Indian captain's bat available to you!!
The MSD 7: MS Dhoni, possibly the
biggest name in Indian cricket at the moment. Spent some
time with Marty designing a blade that will send the IPL
bowlers running for cover. A huge bat in all aspects of
the word, massive edges, low shape making the middle elongate
to provide the power players bat. Big bow to help with
pickup and help elevate the ball way over the boundary.
Short handle, 2lb 11oz.
This bat is designed for the power player who
wants to destroy the opposition!! |

The
Indian summer continues with MG2.
The VS : Virender Sehwag's latest shape
now available to you!!
While chatting with the swashbuckling Indian batsman in
Napier earlier this summer, Virender asked Marty to make
him a new bat. Lovely balance with a slightly higher middle,
flowing edges while giving the feel of real power to punish
the bowlers to all quarters of the ground. Short handle,
2lb 10oz.
For those cricketers who like to play on the up
with a lighter pickup. |
